spring, summer and autumn

In spring and autumn there is a splendor of flowers that can be enjoyed primarily while hiking and cycling. The lake has a wonderful cycle path on which it can be circumnavigated. Hiking is possible at all levels, from leisurely slow trails at 600 m above sea level to alpine hikes at 2000 m and long-distance hikes, for example on the Alpe-Adria Trail.

In summer there is also the possibility of refreshing in the crystal-clear alpine lake. The Millstättersee gets up to 28 degrees warm and is a fantastic bathing lake. You can enjoy this on your private beach. Great hiking regions are in the Drau and Möll valleys, where you will find Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner. There are also 2 national parks in the region (Nockberge Biosphere Park and Hohe Tauern National Park), where you can experience absolutely intact nature. If you fancy an original Italian pizza... you can reach our southern neighbors in half an hour's drive.

winter

In winter you have many opportunities to experience the landscape in Upper Carinthia from Spittal. Either directly on the local mountain of the Spittaler, the Goldeck with its family-friendly ski area, or a trip to one of the surrounding ski areas, such as the Katschberg, the World Cup location Bad Kleinkirchheim or the Emberger Alm family ski area. The largest natural ice surface in Central Europe, the Weissensee, is also not far away . Skiing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, tobogganing or a snowshoe hike?

In the evening you can stroll through the snow-covered small town or cook comfortably in the apartment and enjoy the peace and quiet...
